Meeting transcription in your browser
This tool is designed for meetings, interviews, notes and spoken discussions where you want a written transcript without manually typing every sentence. It captures microphone audio only after you grant permission, converts speech into text in short chunks and places the result directly in the transcript editor.
Speech recognition: this tool uses the speech-recognition service provided by your browser. Depending on your browser, operating system and installed language support, audio may be processed on-device or sent to the browser provider’s online speech service. ALSBKIN does not store meeting audio or transcript text on its own servers.
Languages, export and recovery: Romanian is selected by default, while English or French can be selected explicitly. The transcript is automatically saved in browser storage for recovery after an accidental close. You can also select one local TXT backup file that is overwritten with the current transcript every minute. Word and TXT exports are generated locally in the browser.
Turning speech into text for review
Turn spoken conversation into text with browser speech-recognition features, add timestamps and export the transcript as TXT or Word-compatible output. Recognition quality depends on the browser, microphone, language, background noise and the speech-recognition service available on the device.
When this tool is useful
Transcription can make meetings, interviews and spoken notes easier to search and summarise. Accuracy depends on microphone quality, accents, background noise, overlapping speakers and specialised vocabulary.
Practical limits and quality checks
Review the transcript before relying on it for decisions, quotations or legal records. Obtain any consent required before recording or transcribing other people, and avoid processing confidential material unless you understand the tool’s data path.
Privacy and responsible use
Transcription may use browser speech capabilities or another service indicated by the page, so do not record or transcribe people without the consent or legal basis required in your jurisdiction. Review sensitive meeting content before using any network-dependent feature.
Frequently asked questions
How reliable is a browser utility for this task?
Automatic transcripts are drafts, not verbatim records. Accuracy falls with overlapping speakers, accents, specialist terminology, poor microphones and background noise, so important names, numbers and commitments should be checked against the recording.
Does the tool replace specialist software or professional advice?
It should not replace a certified transcript, interpreter or formal minute-taking process where exact wording has legal, medical, financial or contractual significance. Use it as a productivity aid and verify consequential details manually.
